Like the way you're using your blog - you link well and use your own pictures well and your feature is developing well. You could perhaps put more things in the sidebar - links to other sites/blogs like yours, feeds of news related to the things you talk about etc.
Also, why do you change the link colour for each post...Not sure if it's a good idea, if you're doing it deliberately. Consistency is generally a good idea when it comes to web design.
That said you write in a nice conversational style. Remember, it's journalism, not a letter - so don't go too far. But overall, this is very readable so far.
